Well to get me caught up I am going to do two reviews in one...so here we go!!!
The first review is a review is of......
Courage the Cowardly Dog!
Courage was adopted by Muriel and Eustace Bagge and they live in the middle of Nowhere, Kansas...All kinds of strange stuff happens in Nowhere and it is usually left up to Courage to save the day..
Muriel is the sweet loving grandma like lady while Eustace is the grumpy old man who only shows happiness while he is trying to scare Courage..
A typical episode is divided between two stories in which Courage despite his scaredy cat errr dog nature musters up just enough Courage to somehow some way save the day
The show plays the scares mostly over the top and for laughs..with a serreal look to it
This was one of the few of the cartoons of the late Nineties I really enjoyed watching along with Dexter's Labortory...
Courage had a total of 52 episodes made and was the last of six cartoons to be spun off World Premiere Toons
Overall I will give this show a 4.75 out of 5 stars...
The second show I am reviewing is.....
Everybody's favorite residents of 1313 Mockingbird Lane The Munsters!!!
Starring Fred Gwynne as Herman, Yvonne DeCarlo as Lily, Al Lewis as Grandpa, Butch Patrick as Eddie and Beverly Owen as Marilyn( well at least for the first 13 episodes) and Pat Priest as Marilyn (for the rest of the shows run)
This is one is a classic folks plain and simple what more can I say..
From Al Lewis' protral of Grandpa( who is a vampire) to Fred Gwynne's potrayol of Herman (as a Frankenstein monster)
Special note since Universial produced The Munsters they of course were allowed to use Frankenstein's classic look for Herman..
The Munsters were you typical working class family except for Marilyn who was considered to be a freak for her normal appearance which her family loved her in spite of it...
I could go and on a gush about my love for The Munsters but then I would be typing til 3 a.m. and sadily I can't do that lol
I will leave you with some more trivia..
There was a spin off series in the eighties called The Munsters Today in which the family was woke up from a deep sleep in the eighties and had to adjust to living in the new time peroid..
NBC tried to resurrect it with a more series drama called Mockingbird Lane which was made a pilot...
Well my rating for this is 5 out 5 stars!!!
